[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy installation, security It gives me confidence in its security. And the included key is a good solution if the batteries fail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a Schlage user for years, and it is because of their appearance of high quality. The thing is, Schlage doesn't just look the part, they back it up with performance!! From the moment I removed this deadbolt from the box, it felt like a Schlage. The main body was heavy and the brass had that familiar quality and shine. The interior mounting plate was equally stout and I always love the way the parts are engineered to nice, tight tolerances. I do have to say I wish the interior cover looked a little higher quality than it does, but it is just a cover with a thumb turn. It looks plated, which is exactly what it is, but the whole exterior piece looks like it was cast and polished out of solid brass. Schlage also thinks of little things. A lot of times, you have to have everything just so when you go to put it in because you have to hold it while getting screws lined up and started. This new one had a simple plastic piece integrated in that held both sides together enough to grab screws and tools after you sandwiched the door between them. Instructions were clear as well as how to program it. The thumb turn on the outside is a nice size which offers good leverage for just about every user. I had understood that to lock it from outside, all you had to do was press the Schlage button and then turn the knob. So far, this has not been the case. We have to input the code and then turn. I don't feel this was a big enough deal to knock it down by a star. I always have felt more secure with Schlage locks on all my doors than any other brand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install but had to redo two or three times due to precision making sure everything was done properly. I do not how the lock is diagonal for unlock and lock I get confused. Over all very secure due to having the code and twist to open. Especially if you get the code right and do not twist it locks again for to unlock and twist.
