Great deadbolt /keypad combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd Schlage keypad /deadbolt combo. I like the features and the option to use a key. The codes are easy to program and performs flawlessly over past 5 years. Battery lasts for few years at my house. Great lock.

Great quality and easy to install

We only replaced the first unit because we lost the master key and wanted a piece of mind that we had a back up. This took 25 minutes to install - men or women can do it. Programming was super simple too. I highly recommend.

Programming Not Intuitive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just installed the lock and finally figured out how to program this beast after watching YouTube. Programming code is NOT the same as what you will use to lock/unlock your door. You can only use a 4 number code to lock/unlock rather than a 6 digit code. Regardless, I think I will like the mechanical nature of the deadbolt versus my previous keyless deadbolt. The motor eventually failed in it whereas I am hoping that this new lock will be more durable having no motor to actuate the lock mechanism.

Smooth, Simple, and Reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this lock on a home I rented years ago. When we bought this home, I knew I wanted a keypad without concerns for connecting it to the internet. I also knew I wanted a Schlage— precise machining and highest security rating.
This lock is great. I found that over-tightening some of the hardware made the lock mechanism slightly rough… so I backed the hardware out a turn or two and it works smoothly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a piece of junk. I can’t remember the last product I bought. It was such a poor design. If I hadn’t already paid someone to install it I would hundred percent send it back. Shame on Schlage and top it off I didn’t see any instructions in the box on how to use it just how to program it but not how to use the deadbolt all the Spinny Spinny Spinny.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
