Super safe in your fortress of solitude!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product to replace an old door lock set to which everyone in the neighborhood had a key! With the new setup, I am able to program a code for my kids (teenagers) to use if they get off the school bus before a parent gets home and there is no key for them to misplace and be locked out in the cold! I was also able to enter a code for my in-laws to gain access to the fortress and, best of all, I can delete that code whenever I’ve had enough of them! No key for them to conveniently forget to give back after dog sitting! I was also able to enter a code that we can all remember and not be stuck with a pre-programmed code that anyone who buys this type of lock could have! All in all, we are all feeling safe and sound! Thank you Schlage! (But we do have a “just-in-case” Rottweiler for those pesky folks that just keep knocking!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this deadbolt. We finally decided to get one after years of giving out our garage code for dog sitters and family. The install was super easy and I love having the ability to designate codes to specifi individuals.

Used to be excellent, may be less so now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have these deadbolts on three doors and a recent ice storm caused the oldest (15+yrs) one's mechanism that engages the outside knob to fail so I replaced it. The new one has failed to engage the outside knob to allow unlocking four times just since I installed it. I'm concerned the overall quality on these has gone down over the years.
