[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the homes I clean has this lock and it has yet to fail. Even at -53 below zero, it worked perfectly. So I bought it for our house as well. I’m excited to try it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, sturdy design and build. Programming is generally easy, but more info could be supplied (max number of User Codes that can be saved, how long battery life for typical useage, etc.). Some internal parts are made of plastic, especially the cam used to move the deadbolt, which could affect the longevity of the locking mechanism. I've had this model in use on another door for over 15 years, so I'm not too worried. We'll see how long the numbers on the buttons last as this keypad gets direct sunlight for 6 months of the year. Also the weather resistantance will be tested since this lock will be exposed to rain. The locking mechanism is light and smooth to engage and disengage. This lock doesn't connect to wifi, which is what we wanted. It's totally off the grid. I took it to a local locksmith and had it rekeyed to allow it to be able to use the same house key for our front door, so no need to carry more than one house key. Uses a common 9 volt battery, so replacements are easy to get. Based on our other lock, battery seems to last at least 3 years before being replaced. Battery is easy to replace. Just remove 2 screws that hold the cover on the lock. Nicefinish on thecasing that seems very durable.
