Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace the dead bolt lock. I chose Schlage because that was already what was there. The new lock matched the existing door handle perfectly. It literally took me 10 minutes to replace the lock. The programming of my entry code was clear and easy.

Old and new lock

Went and bought a new lock after hours of trying to repair old one. The new one is installed and all is good! It’s not as easy as it seems so keep your instructions!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About 8 years ago I installed four of these in all our first floor entry doors. I wanted something that wasn’t connected to the internet So these battery-operated models fit the bill. Installation is fairly straightforward, though I did hire someone to install them. But
today, I, myself, swapped out one of the the originals for a replacement. Easy. They have been very reliable, until they weren’t. After 8 years they seem to be going bad, one by one. Because I think they should be built to last more than 8 years, I’m giving it 4 stars rather than 5.
