[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had two Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi locks. This one works so far, after a few weeks. The first one keypad never worked right. Locked me out several times. Very disappointed with first lock. I called Schlage and they wouldn’t replace the lock even though I had it only a few months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best lock for short-term rentals

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We manage short-term rentals and Schlage Encode is our recommended lock system. They're reliable and the Encode line works with our property management software to send unique codes to each guest that start at check-in and stop at checkout. The other reason we prefer Schlage Encode is the app shows us battery life percentage versus other locks that just want warn you when the batteries are almost dead. This feature helps us gauge how much longer we can utilize the batteries, saves last minute scrambling, and helps us get full life out of the batteries versus throwing them away early to prevent a scramble.
