This is the smart lock you’re looking for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock is easy to install and configure. It is extremely functional with a keypad and the ability to unlock it by tapping your iPhone to it or asking Siri to unlock it for you when you are pulling into your driveway. I am in the Apple smart home ecosystem in my home, which allows some of the functionality I mentioned. I am also in the Amazon Alexa ecosystem and I can set that up if I want, but I have not because it seems excessive. I have configured more than enough ways to get in and out of the house.
When leaving I can lock it by pressing the Lock button on the keypad, or set it to automatically lock after a set number of minutes, or even set up an automation that will lock the door upon exit. I can also lock and unlock it from the Schlage Home app as well as the Apple Home app. I can issue codes to different people to unlock the door and I will know who is coming and going in my house since I have set up notifications in both the Schlage app and, for redundancy, in the Apple Home app. It is completely versatile with the many ways you can lock and unlock this door. It is easily the smartest smart lock I have ever seen. And the Camelot Trim, Aged Bronze, is beautiful. I also purchased the matching Camelot Trim Lower Half Handset, a lever handset that replaces a regular doorknob, to open and close the door. Gorgeous.
I liked it so much that I bought a second set for a friend who is also getting a new door. She has Alzheimer’s and this gives her many ways to open the door. It even comes with a key if she prefers to use that, which might be easiest for her. As her caregiver I will have a code and also connect it to my iPhone via Bluetooth, and I will issue codes to my friend and each of the home health aides who help me take care of her. Emergency services will also have a code on file. I will get notified of who enters and leaves. It is really going to come in handy for her situation.
It is one of the best home upgrades I have ever made. It has made both of our lives easier and safer, and that alone makes it worth every penny. I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough.
