Great technology

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant about using electronics for my home security until my friend showed me his Schlage lock on his front door. Over time I realized how safe and convenient it really was. I’m getting one for my back door too.

Great lock, great app, difficult to rekey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying a number of brands at a number of properties, Schlage’s app and integration into my security system have won me over. I’ve now purchased ~10 of these and won’t buy anything else. They, like other brands, as simple to physically install, but they are also easy to set up on your network, integrate with your security system (ring for me) and provide access codes to contractors to log who comes when and for how long they stay.
My only challenge has been they don’t have an easy way to rekey such that all the locks can use the same physical key like the kwikset has. As such I haven’t been able to do rekey quickly and have to carry each key labeled on my master key ring.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock is a second replacement for a lock that failed. It is different from what I previously had which came as a surprise. It seems to work well most of the time although I tried locking it from the keypad with gloves on and was unable. The communication was frustrating at times and unclear/not complete. The website support is very difficult to use. I seriously hope this lock works forever because I don’t want the challenge of replacing it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
