Fantastic Apple HomeKit/HomeKey support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad to finally have a smart lock that natively integrates with Apple HomeKit and Apple Home Key. The setup was brilliant with proximity NFC. No difficult WiFi setup processes or apps to register for.

Snark Lock with Long Memory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this lock for two years and I love that I can store up to 100 unique codes, this serves short term renter needs very well. I had an issue within the past month where the lock did a hard power down even after I put new batteries in a week before. After a lot of research, I found this has happened to others and I found the batteries heavily corroded (live in a very dry climate). Was able to get it up and running quickly after I found the issue but am nervous of it happening again as others have had it happen due to other unknown reasons, requiring an entirely new lock.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Things you need to know

If there is strong Wifi signal, the lock and app work well together.
Locks in more distant areas will need a 2.4 Ghz signal with good strength.
If the lock can't connect to your Wifi, you will only be able to use the App via Bluetooth, which really means you can't use that lock remotely.

Door Alignment:
Successful use of the App to remotely lock or unlock the deadbolt is reliant on the "at rest" alignment of your deadbolt and strike plate.
Do you have doors that require a gentle push or pull on the handle in order to get the bolt in the hole? If so, this remote lockset won't work for you.
You will be able to unlock it, but it will "Jam" when you try to lock it, because the bolt is not aligned with the hole.
Successful use of the App to remotely lock or unlock the deadbolt is reliant on the "at rest" alignment of your deadbolt and strike plate.
Do you have doors that require a gentle push or pull on the handle in order to get the bolt in the hole? If so, this remote lockset won't work for you.

This is a simple, uncluttered App.
It has almost every feature you will want, and yet is easy to use. Perhaps too easy.
If you get an alert, and open the App, your home screen is the lock you have placed at the top of your lock list.
The lock, and unlock, button is the line drawing of a cartoon padlock, showing it unlocked and in green,or locked and in red.
The cartoon line drawing takes up most of your screen.
Accidental touching of any portion of this very large area will send a signal to your lock to either lock or unlock.
If your deadbolt is misaligned, or the door is ajar slightly, the lock will show that it is Jammed.
Casual use of the App can trigger locking and unlocking, if any part of the lock drawing is touched.
Programming Request: Add a home screen feature that allows "View Only", as a toggle button.

If you want true remote access functionality, both the latch and deadbolt will have to be Wifi capable.

This means that you must buy both for each entryway that you want remote access for.

Schlage WIFI Deadbolt Gives 5 Star Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second Schlage Encode Wi-Fi deadbolt door lock, and I wouldn't go with any other brand. The Lock is reasonably priced, easy to install and easy to use. The Wi-Fi app has all the feature you need and makes it simple to secure your house from anywhere you are. If you're considering a Wi-Fi deadbolt lock, take a serious look at Schlage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one on my own home and just installed another 3 on rental properties. They are all I will use. Easy set up. Quick to set up to wifi. And remote set and control access is such a life saver when you have cleaners and handyman working. Highly recommend. The one time I had an issue with connecting to internet and the support team helped me out in no time at all. Great company great product.
