Both units are crap.

Neither will connect to my WiFi, even when I cripple the router down to 2.4Ghz only... Something I haven't needed to do with over 20 other home automation devices in my home. And my router is less than 15' from either door. One of the units refuses to complete it's firmware update... I've tried six times and given up. Very disappointed in these Schlage products. Especially at their cost. Too late to return them or I would.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best keypad lock

I love the convenience of being able to unlock my door without needing to grab my keys. I can unlock it with my phone or the keypad, and I can also add my family with their own codes. This lock is also connected to my Ring home security. I highly recommend this smart deadbolt.

Horrible lock with lots of issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a little over a year ago. We’ve had intermittent issues using the apple key. The color is flaking off the metal which is interesting since we barely touch the lock or use the code. It does take multiple attempts using a phone or Apple Watch to trigger the lock.
Recently I purchased a new phone and my wife got a new watch. The lock would not allow either to open. Followed the suggestion of resetting the lock. Now the lock won’t recognize anything via apple home kit, it won’t even connect to a WiFi signal and I’ve tried different networks. So now we are stuck using the keypad to open anything which we could accomplish with a much cheaper lock
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
