Awesome deadbolt!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I bought this lock after buying our first home. We wanted something secure (and we trusted Schlage with that endeavor) but something that was easy to let family and friends have their own codes while we were away and needed the house and animals tended to. The features on this lock are outstanding. Wifi connected, connects to our iPhones so we can use our Apple Watch and iPhones to unlock, and the ability to easily add PINs for anyone we want with a few simple taps. I love that we can see the history of the lock.
If I were to change anything about the lock, I have a few things in mind. Add more pins to the manual key to add security. It's fairly easy to pick a 5-pin lock. For this purpose, we only kept 1 key and have it hidden well in the emergency case we need to use it. The lock is also loud when operating electronically (unlocking or locking without the key). The third is more of an app option; I'd like the ability to further customize what notifications I get (like I don't want to be notified when it gets locked with the deadbolt, just from the outside) and the ability to assign a 1 time use PIN, instead of just a schedule or delete the code after I know it's been used (for contractors, etc.)
Overall, this lock is pretty great. Family and friends love it. It looks great, it's extremely simple to install and program, and the touchscreen feedback is top-notch.

Easy installation with well illustrated instructions. Easy configuration and setup with Alexa along with lock status notifications on Android phone.
I have had this lock installed and using for over a month now and completely satisfied. If you are contemplating a new digital lock you can buy this one with total confidence you will be satisfied.
I purchased the black stainless and the color matched my door and existing handle quite well.

Great lock! Wish it had a couple features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like the encode plus however it’s very large compared to some of its rivals and my chief complaint is that you cannot swap in a lock tumbler from a standard deadbolt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So bought this product about six months ago. I must admit that I had to make 2 warranty replacements but to Schlage's credit they stood behind their product. The most recent version of the lock I noticed something completely new and should resolve the issue surrounding the initial troubles I had with the units that failed. I was pleasantly surprised to see the changes as I had planned to implement something similar. So far so good! Lock now works flawlessly and I look forward to years of use!
