Best smart deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This makes the eighth one of these smart deadbolts I’ve purchased for work and home.
I can’t recommend them enough.
Simple directions.
Simple installation.
Simple app setup.
User friendly app.
Tons of great features including using your Apple watch.
And I love having a physical key as a backup if the batteries should completely die.
My oldest lock is about 4 years old and is still working flawlessly.
They are just very well built and reliable.
If you’re looking to replace your old deadbolt or are looking to step up to a smart lock, this is the one for you!

Worth the Wait I Suppose

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me way too long to get a hold of the Encode Plus in Matte Black Century trim. It was sold out for ages, online and in-store, and for good reason. You can always trust Schlage to produce quality products, they are the gold standard. Sure, I could’ve gotten a regular Encode lock, but I held out for the Encode Plus because I wanted to integrate my entryway into my HomeKit ecosystem. Installation of the hardware was super easy. The only complaint I had was setting up the software. For some reason, it had a really tough time connecting to my WiFi network, and I still don’t have the lock officially set up in MyHome App because it overrides my Schlage account setup (ie, the lock codes get messed up and I had to restart the whole process again, multiple times). Super frustrating but I’ve just accepted that I’ll only access the lock settings as Admin role via the Schlage app instead of Apple HomeKit. That’s an acceptable trade off for a reliable lock.
