Decent electronic lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the lock performs well. Easy to install and set up. We already had 2 other locks in our house, and Schlage doesn’t make it easy to apply lock settings to multiple locks. In addition, sometimes it takes 5-15 minutes to register a lock event, which has caused challenges after leaving - thinking our door was suddenly locked while we were gone.

A Lock That Redefines What Home Feels Like
on June 9, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought a deadbolt would change the way I feel about my home but the Schlage Encode Plus isn’t just a lock. It’s peace of mind, in brushed nickel.
From the moment I unboxed it, the build quality screamed precision. It has that rare balance of sleek, modern design and serious security like a vault disguised as sculpture. Setup was effortless. Thanks to Apple Home Key, I now unlock my front door by simply tapping my iPhone or Apple Watch no app juggling, no keys, no delays. It’s like the future finally arrived, quietly and securely.
I travel often, and nothing beats the ability to remotely grant access to family or service professionals then monitor every lock and unlock with crisp, real-time notifications. Whether I’m two cities away or just on the couch, I’m always in control. That’s powerful.
But what really elevates this lock is how invisible it becomes. It blends into the rhythm of daily life never failing, never needing a second thought. That’s true smart home design: intuitive, reliable, and beautifully forgettable.
In a world full of gimmicky tech, Schlage built a product that actually delivers. It’s elegant security. It’s thoughtful engineering. It’s something I now take pride in showing off to guests.
If home is where the heart is, the Schlage Encode Plus is the heartbeat that protects it silently, brilliantly, and with style.

Great features and pretty convenient when it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this product before it looks and convenience. Although I do have to say, I do occasionally have issues with a lock having problems, but the reason I continue to use them is because I like to have everything in one app and Schlage offers a fantastic warranty. If they didn’t, I wouldn’t give it five stars. The only downside is the downtime and officially they send the replacement lock to the wrong location, but overall I would still use them again
