Great combination deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this for over a year and waited until I needed to replace the battery to post a review. Quality materials, easy to install, and easy to replace the battery. The product gives a flashing red light after you enter the code for a few weeks before the battery actually dies. The brass finish on the inside has tarnished a bit around the edge, but other than that, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Easy to install and use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the first one about 5 or 6 years ago. At about year 3 when it was really cold out it would have a little trouble opening, the mechanism would hang up. New battery did not help. The following year I took it apart and sprayed a light silicon lubricant into the mechanism. This helped and it worked a couple of years with an occasional respray. This summer the mechanism would only engage after multiple tries so we mostly used the key. From what I can read about the lifetime warranty is in order to make a claim I have to send them the lock and after they evaluate it then maybe it will be covered. Of course while they have it I can’t lock my front door so the warranty is useless. I like the concept so I went to purchase a new one hoping to not use the same brand. Unfortunately all my other door hardware is this bright brass and the ones I could find without driving to multiple stores either didn’t come in the color or had motorized deadbolts or touch screens, none of which I want to rely on on a cold Minnesota day. I would not recommend this unless you’re ok with 3 or 4 years of reliable use and you don’t have to hire someone to install it for you.
