Essential equipment for homes with teenagers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the Schlage line of smart locks. The app and locks works perfectly! I love being able to assign unique codes to my teenagers and dog walker. And, I love receiving notifications who unlocked the door and when.
So much easier than handing out keys. Now the physical key is a safety/last resort option if the batteries die. Although, the Schlage app provides plenty of warning on the lock battery health, so losing the “smart” part of the lock won’t happen without plenty of warning!
This is our 3rd lock in the encode series. We purchased this to replace the competitor’s smart deadbolt that worked with the garage door manufacturers app. That lock (rhymes with stale) has been flakey since installation. The WiFi module failed and became a dumb lock with no key override.
No issues with any of our 3 Schlage deadbolts! Installation was a breeze! Deadbolt fit the standard prefilled door opening and took less than 10 minutes and a Phillips screwdriver.
Now, we are just waiting for a Schlage smart lock for our fancy patio door and then all exterior doors will be connected using one standard interface!
Great product, especially for teenagers who never carry keys. And, with the airlock feature and WiFi status—I no longer have to wonder if someone left the front and back doors unlocked! And, if they did, I can remotely lock them using the app! And, schedule all deadbolts to lock at the same time each night!
Great for security and peace of mind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m extremely happy with the Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt with Century Trim. The installation was surprisingly straightforward and took less than 30 minutes using only a screwdriver. The instructions were clear, and everything fit perfectly on my standard door.
From a security standpoint, this lock provides excellent peace of mind. The built-in WiFi allows me to lock and unlock the door remotely, check the lock status, and receive notifications whenever someone enters. Creating unique access codes for family members and guests is quick and convenient, and I appreciate the built-in alarm and auto-lock features for added protection. The Apple Home Key integration is an added bonus, making access seamless with my iPhone and Apple Watch.
Overall, this is a well-built, reliable smart lock that combines easy installation with outstanding security features. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home security with a modern, user-friendly smart lock.
