[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Security features are better than other competitors. After much research, decided on this lock alone. It exceeds my expectations and has not failed once since we bought it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Schlage Encode Plus is what we selected for our Investment Property (Airbnb) . Easy installation and great quality. Connectivity was smooth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic and easy set up. The step by step video instructions made this fool proof and doable from my phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up although when I attempted on a Samsung s26 it would not work. Had to use a different phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt with Century trim for a while now and it is easily the best smart lock available today. The combination of built-in WiFi, Apple Home, Apple home keys, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant delivers true whole-home peace of mind — I can control and monitor my door from anywhere. Tap-to-unlock with my iPhone and Apple Watch has become one of my favourite everyday experiences. A few improvements would take this already excellent product to the next level. I’d love to see a higher-security cylinder option or an optional cylinder-less variant for a fully electronic exterior. A rechargeable battery pack option with on-device power configuration — or even a firmware update to support it — would be a smart, sustainable upgrade. The setup flow for users pairing both the Schlage Home app and Apple HomeKit should be clearer, with a dedicated guided path for Home Key, hub setup, and remote access all in one sequence. Showing the HomeKit accessory name and room assignment inside the Schlage app (perhaps via a software update) would make managing Apple Home automations much easier. The iOS app could also benefit from a full UX/UI refresh, including iOS widgets and Lock Screen complications for quick access. All activity logs across all users and all access methods should be viewable in a single, filterable timeline. Finally, official Home Assistant integration via open APIs or an MCP server would unlock a huge community of power users while keeping Schlage at the centre of the smart home experience. Overall, I recommend this lock without hesitation — it feels built to last and to grow with a smart home. These targeted improvements would make it the definitive gold standard for residential smart deadbolts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works really well, the encode plus doesn’t seem to be worth it tho because the phone tap thing is thru Apple wallet so it’s not faster than typing ur code unless u didn’t have Face ID enabled or anything else in ur Apple wallet. I wish shlague made a door lock with Touch ID. My last lock lasted 10 years lol
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to update the locks in the house and hired a locksmith to help us. The lock fits in not to modern nor does it have a antique feel. Love the key pad is one solid piece, hate to have buttons wear and Crack. The features of wifi, and hownit connects with my Google was way we bought it. The set up was easy and we haven't had any issues or lapses in connection. The app is great to use and easy to create codes for others to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this lock in 4 of my rental properties. No problem giving last minute access as well as limiting time and days of entry. Easy to add and delete. Love it!
