Great lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad we purchased this lock for our Air BnB. This has been such a convenient way to secure the property. I can lock and unlock the door and assign codes. The Ap keeps a history of activity and codes. You can have more than 1 lock on the Ap if you have multiple properties with this type of lock. I would dedicate my recommend it. We had 1 experience where the property did not have WiFi for 3 days and we lost the ability to function through the Ap. We had to go to the property to reconnect the phone to the Ap. This was an inconvenience to the guests. Not sure how to remedy that other than having a spare key but you cannot provide this to the guests. Other than that we have had no issues in two years of owning this lock. I was able to install it by following the clear instructions and there was options to watch videos so you cannot provide see how to complete the steps. Anyone can install it. It was so simple and only took about 20 minutes.

Somewhat disappointed in the software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation and setup was horrible. This lock is definitely not Android friendly. It took me TWO DAYS of trying different things. using AI and Google to finally be able to program codes into the lock. And the workaround that I used is something that I just happened to figure out. There was no information about it on the web at all. I switched from a Kwickset Halo to this Encode Plus. While the hardware appears to be sturdier, the end code is definitely lacking bebeficial software and application features. The features that I miss are being able to use 4 or 6 digit codes simultaneously being able to generate random codes being able to temporarily disable codes and also having a virtual key that does not have Admin. rights so that upstairs tenants can open the door remotely without having access to all information in the lock. Bluetooth functionality only works within a certain range and, thus wifi is needed. And I can't give them admin rights, so now they can't buzz the door remotely from their apartment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have long been a huge fan since of smart Schlage locks. In fact I just replaced my first 2 that I have had in service since 2012. 14 years. In the salty beach weather. No issues
I replaced them with an encode plus and and arrive thinking the encode plus was the premium product. It was such a disappointment. Now the installation was a snap, but improved on even more by the Schlage arrive. But the touch pad where you entered your code or scanned your apple device was almost worthless. I had to rip it out after 2 weeks for a refund which I then applied to purchase a cheaper Schlage arrive which is the far superior product. Maybe the “arrive plus” is where it all comes together

Encode Plus is the way to go

Only minor gripe is battery life, getting about 4 months of usage. Also appreciate the alarm function where it will detect forced entry and sound off a loud alarm. Highly recommend Schlage encode plus.
