Best lock by far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best lock to get, especially if you have HomeKit. I replaced a Kwikset deadbolt with this one and this locks outperforms my old lock by far. The lock is a bit pricey upfront, but it’s definitely worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought two of these for new mid-term rental houses in central Florida, based on reviews from other short and mid-term rental owners. They were right! These locks remove the necessity of having keys that get lost, as well as allowing us to enter and remove codes based on who needs access to the house; whether it be guests, cleaners, or handyman. We program them with the last 4 digits of a person's phone number so it's easy to remember, and so far, no issues! We'll be putting these on future units as well!

Really appreciate being able to unlock the door with my phone when I have a lot of groceries or packages to carry. Also appreciate knowing when someone comes and goes. This is a perfect lock for our needs. Also like the feature of being to unlock the door if we had an emergency.

Initial impressions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, though deadbolt assembly diameter was larger than the deadbolt it replaced, necessitating re-boring to 1”. Start-up time was prolonged—it would have been nice to be warned about this—there was no way to know why the HomeKit app would not initially recognize the unit; eventually it worked well. The tapered deadbolt was a nice touch. Schlage should consider offering an adjustable latch plate for their handle sets—this would make fine-tuning deadbolts so much easier. So far, one-touch opening with watch and phone is reasonably quick and reliable.
