Black and Code plus deadbolt plus door handle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I really like it. The size of the dead bolt on the inside took a moment to get used to but I get it is need for function. The other thing I wasn’t expecting was the little black circle from the installation of the new door handle. I used to have just a knob but I chose something different that had to be drilled through the door so there’s a little black knob, floating a little farther down than the door handle on the inside. Again, it’s something that makes perfect sense. Why it’s there. I just didn’t notice it in the photos when I was choosing and selecting the item and the aesthetic just took me a second to get used to. But overall, it is easy to use.

Its just okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this lock because the features are great in theory, but it ended up being unreliable for my Airbnb.
The batteries drain much faster than expected, and on more than one occasion my guests were locked out because the batteries died. It also disconnects from Wi-Fi more often than it should.
Then, after just over a year of normal use, the metal battery contacts inside the battery compartment broke off completely, so the lock could no longer get power from the batteries. I honestly can't figure out how that happened because the battery compartment was only ever opened to replace the batteries during routine battery changes.
Another frustration is the keypad. It stays dark until you press a button, but in a dim hallway you can't actually see the numbers to know which button to press. If you accidentally press the wrong number just trying to wake it up, the lock starts reading that as part of a code and you have to wait for it to beep several times and reset before you can try again. It makes entering the code for the first time unnecessarily frustrating, especially for guests arriving after dark.
Unfortunately, I had to replace the entire lock after just over a year. For something that's supposed to provide reliable, secure access, I expected much better durability, battery life, and overall dependability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of a new born and toddler, this product is super convenient when you need to leave the house, try to get your kids in the car and don't have to make to an extra trip to lock the door since you can do it right from your phone. It was really easy to install and their app is pretty straight forward. Will definitely recommend.

Great lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad we purchased this lock for our Air BnB. This has been such a convenient way to secure the property. I can lock and unlock the door and assign codes. The Ap keeps a history of activity and codes. You can have more than 1 lock on the Ap if you have multiple properties with this type of lock. I would dedicate my recommend it. We had 1 experience where the property did not have WiFi for 3 days and we lost the ability to function through the Ap. We had to go to the property to reconnect the phone to the Ap. This was an inconvenience to the guests. Not sure how to remedy that other than having a spare key but you cannot provide this to the guests. Other than that we have had no issues in two years of owning this lock. I was able to install it by following the clear instructions and there was options to watch videos so you cannot provide see how to complete the steps. Anyone can install it. It was so simple and only took about 20 minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have long been a huge fan since of smart Schlage locks. In fact I just replaced my first 2 that I have had in service since 2012. 14 years. In the salty beach weather. No issues
I replaced them with an encode plus and and arrive thinking the encode plus was the premium product. It was such a disappointment. Now the installation was a snap, but improved on even more by the Schlage arrive. But the touch pad where you entered your code or scanned your apple device was almost worthless. I had to rip it out after 2 weeks for a refund which I then applied to purchase a cheaper Schlage arrive which is the far superior product. Maybe the “arrive plus” is where it all comes together
