The build quality feels solid and durable, giving me peace of mind that my home is safe. I also appreciate the smart features ,being able to lock and unlock my door remotely is a game-changer, and setting temporary codes for guests is super easy. Installation was straightforward, and the design looks sleek on any door. Schlage has truly made home security both reliable and stylish, I couldn’t be happier!

Great, Convenient Lock. Love It !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always used Schlage products at my home. I had push button coded deadbolt before upgrading to this one. Installation and connection to my WiFi was really easy and it came with the batteries to power it. Before installation, I re-keyed it myself with a Schlage re-key kit to match all of my other house locks. Doing that takes a little more skill, but I had no issues. I can see the status of the lock from anywhere on my phone and i can unlock or lock it from anywhere. It also alerts me to any door movement, even when it is locked and attempted to be opened. The lock keeps a history of how it was locked or unlocked and you can set a main, alternate or temporary codes with time frames. All of this can be done from the App. Its a little bit pricey, but well worth the money. The only thing I see being an issue is battery life. In 15 days, it has already lost 6% of its battery life, but on the other hand, these batteries are much easier to change than my old coded deadbolt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock is great as long as it has Li-Ion batteries because they last the longest, @3-4 mo. Where the high end Duracell Alkaline Battery lasted 1.5-2.5 mo. I don't like the fact that the locks don't have non-volital memory. In other words once you loose power you need to re-establish connection with the app. If network issues occur, or if your cell phone is low on power this is a major problem because the function of the lock is stuck and cannot be used until it gets it's instructions from the app to let it know what to do. The smart thing that they should of done, or should do is either use a removable memory card, a USB stick, or internal memory that hold the lock data in local memory regardless of power loss. If security is an issue just have a 2nd validation to confirm the owner is reloading the locks memory so it knows what to do and how to operate. It can be as simple as once the new batteries are installed type in the secondary secret code to get all the info back and enable the lock to find the wireless access info it needs to find the network and the phone app, all without having to reprogram the lock if the batteries run too low. It gets old having to do that if the lock is on a vacation house where you are not around all the time to change the locks batteries. Other than that it is a great lock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own Airbnb units and recently swapped all my locks with the Encode Plus lock. I didn’t need a locksmith. Super easy install and super easy to connect to WiFi. I love that Airbnb has the ability to do all the lock codes for my guests.
