I recently installed the Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt and I’m honestly really impressed. The setup was straightforward, and connecting it to WiFi took just a few minutes. I love that I don’t need an extra hub—everything works directly through the app.
The app itself is super user-friendly. I can lock and unlock my door from anywhere, which gives me peace of mind, especially when I’m not home. Creating and managing access codes for family or guests is also incredibly convenient.
The build quality feels solid and secure, and the keypad is responsive and easy to use. It also looks sleek on the door, which is a nice bonus.
The only downside I’ve noticed is that it does go through batteries a bit faster than a traditional lock, but that’s expected with WiFi-enabled devices. As long as you keep spare batteries on hand, it’s not a big issue.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this lock to anyone looking for a reliable, modern, and easy-to-use smart lock. It adds both convenience and security.

I have it on my home, and it's so user-friendly that I actually bought another one to replace the kwikset lock I had on my rental house's door. Its perfect because I can assign temporary codes with effective and expiration dates and times, which means I can let maintenance people in and out of the house as needed. It stays connected to both the wifi and app, so I can use it anywhere. Took 10 minutes to install. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a user-friendly new lock with great features!
