[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Schlage Encode smart lock and I’ve been really impressed so far. Setup was straightforward — the instructions were easy to follow and it connected to my Wi-Fi without needing an extra hub, which was super convenient.
The build feels solid and looks nice on the door. Using the keypad is smooth, and I like that I can create and manage access codes right from the app. Locking and unlocking remotely works as expected, and I get notifications when someone uses a code.
The app interface is okay — not perfect, but it gets the job done. I also appreciate that it works with Alexa (and other smart home systems), so voice control is a nice bonus.
Overall, it’s a reliable smart lock that checks all the boxes for home security and convenience without being overly complicated.

I appreciated the step-by-step guide and the fact that I didn’t need any specialized tools. It took me about 30 minutes to remove my old deadbolt and get this one fully installed.
Connecting the lock to my home WiFi and smart home system was seamless. The Encode Plus paired quickly with my smartphone, and the app setup was intuitive. I especially like the Apple Home Key integration—it’s incredibly convenient to unlock the door with my iPhone or Apple Watch.

Amazing lock!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock is amazing! I love that I can change codes from my phone and set schedule for when people are able to access my house. I also love that there is no thumb lock on the outside that you have to twist to open the lock.
The only challenge has been helping people learn how to use the lock. When not in use, the keypad is completely black. You have to take the "unlock" button to light up the keypad before entering your code. Once they know that, they are able to work the lock with ease.
