Setup was quick and seamless — the app walked me through everything step by step, and it connected to Wi-Fi without any hassle. The build quality feels solid and secure, just what you’d expect from Schlage.
I especially love being able to lock and unlock the door remotely through the app. It’s perfect when guests or service people need access while I’m away. The built-in keypad is responsive and has a clean, modern look that fits my door perfectly.
Another huge plus is the integration with Alexa and Google Assistant — voice control and real-time lock status make life so much easier. The battery life has been excellent so far, and I get alerts when it’s running low, which gives me peace of mind.
Overall, the Schlage Encode is a great balance of smart features, strong security, and dependable performance. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier smart deadbolt!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation went very well. I replaced a Schlage deadbolt with the Encode Plus desdbolt. I removed the cylinder from the old deadbolt and installed it in the Encode Plus so I won't need to replace all our house keys. The old deabolt was a little larger than the Encode Plus and left a mark on the exterior of the door. See pic - nothing too bad. To be expect though when replacing such things. Very nice to have the deadbolt on an app I can open or lock from afar. Plus there is a burglar alarm function. It is expensive compared to other options. But I chose this product over others because it's a Schlage and it allows you to use a physical key. Plus my family members who have Iphones can use their phones as a key.
