Outstanding and well thought-out product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a home with an older Schlage standard key deadbolt. We were not given the proper key. Decided to replace the entire mechanism with something Apple HomeKit compatible. We like using our Apple Watches while we are out and about. The Encore Plus was the only version that had Apple HomeKit. I talked to my dad and a locksmith about which brand to buy. When they both say Schlage, I tend to lean that route.
Install was simple. Battery install is so seamless and well thought-out. The deadbolt completely replaced perfectly. No touch up paint, no changing striking plate, even the same screws from an old Schlage lock from early 2010’s.
Connectivity is outstanding. The app works so well, it’s like a company actually tested it before putting it out. Lock pairing was a breeze. Adding to Apple HomeKit was a breeze. I was even able to get users syncing between the two applications (HomeKit and Schlage) without breaking one or the other. Outstanding work, app/dev team.
I walk up to the lock, hold my watch up, it’s unlocked. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Absolutely outstanding product and will absolutely recommend to anyone who asks.

Easy setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 2 of these locks. They were easy to install and, more importantly, easy to set up remote operation. They are rated one of the most secure locks by Consumer Reports which convinced me to invest in them.

Lock with great features

Great lock but missing key features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its missing some key features that other locks like the eufy has. You should be able to tap anywhere on the pad to turn the backlight on without inputting a number. Eufy has it where you can push numbers before your code to confuse people looking while you input the code. Thats also helpful when guests accidentally touch the keypad before putting in their code. Otherwise, the lock does what its meant to do and it pairs well with airbnb which is the main reason I got it. It was easy to install and connect to wifi.

Good Lock - But glitchy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock looks great and is easy to install. I love that I can ask Siri to unlock the door as I walk up to the house or tap my phone on the lock to unlock the door.
Getting it to work with Apple home is not so easy. My wife and I have not been able to make her Iwatch work with the lock. My wife and daughter had so much trouble getting their phones to open the lock that they use the keypad instead. During a recent iOS update, the Schlage app also updated and all my settings were lost. It took me a number of days and a new set of batteries to restore it. So, it’s not perfect.
