[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Install and set up was a breeze. Took maybe 10 minutes and everything worked perfectly. I had another brand smart lock and it was nothing but trouble. So far the Schlage and app work with no issues.

Plus, it allows us to set a code for the pet sitter. We get updates anytime the door is locked or unlocked, plus by who.

Cool, works well, but not worth the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Encode Plus for about a 6 months now and we have mixed feelings about it. One of my major complaints is that it’s really difficult to enter your code on the Keypad from its resting state because the LED numbers are not visible. We “upgraded” from a regular Schlage keypad entry with physical buttons and printed text. Honestly miss how easy it was to enter the code on the old one. As for Apple Key, it’s pretty gimmicky and 9/10 still faster to just type in the code. Being able to lock and unlock with a smart assistant is also cool, but again, kind of a gimmick that we have found we rarely use. My last complaint is the battery life. It takes 4 double-A batteries and when connected to WiFi, lasted us about 4 months before having to swap. That’s gonna be expensive if it’s a 3 times per year thing, and I expect the cold Minnesota winters will probably be even harder on the battery.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the quality product and service

It’s great to be able to lock and unlock the front door to let friends our family or to lock it if somebody forgot it. And the feeling of security And great quality and looks.
