Amazing upgrade for a deadbolt. HomeKit winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one of the older Schlage locks for about 10-12 years. While it was great and served its purpose, it lacked any modern connectivity or ease of changing for better security. The Encode Plus is an amazing upgrade. It was easy to install, the interface in the app is clean. Best of all, once I figured out HomeKit on the appleTV, the apple wallet integration is simply amazing. It works better than hotel locks. I love that I can provision new security codes that are only valid during certain times (eg my cleaners or other people who only need limited access). I know the battery life won’t be as long as with my old lock but it is easy to change the AA batteries. I wonder if a 9V would last longer. If Schlage determines that it would I would be willing to change the lock again just for that upgrade.
If I were to ask one thing, it would be that they make a plus version of the smart locking door handles. I put one of those in my basement. While I love it, I would love it more if it had HomeKit features like express pass.

Super lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our Encore locks. We have every exterior door equipped with one. They connect to our phones so we always know whether the doors are locked or unlocked and can unlock them from the car when we drive into the driveway. They were easy to install and get connected. We also have one on our rental property.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing the hardware was easy. It was compatible with my existing measurements. Connected easy to Apple Home and then the Schlage app. User friendly interface and the deadbolt feels just as secure as the old non smart one.

Wifi access amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great experience with Airbnb rentals. We live an hour away and to have access to change the code for the guests is a real game changer. The ability to review the lock access and grant to other family members really makes it compatible with our style of renting. Installatio was a breeze as well as we had the schalge non-wifi version on there prior. Highly recommend.

My kids need a way to get in and out without having to keep up with a key and I love being able to unlock and lock for others when I’m not at home. It was easy to install and setup and we haven’t had one hiccup. I saw other reviewers speaking to battery use but we’ve had ours for months and the batteries are still 98%. Love this!
