Good features with clear technology

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We generally love this deadbolt and use it constantly, especially helpful since we rent part-time during the year. Only complaint is that the batteries drain quickly - talking 4 times a year they need changing. Otherwise, easy to use and interface is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for a few weeks now and have loved it. It was easy to install and set up, and I have loved being able to get in with the keypad. I also like that I could set it to auto lock after a few minutes. Other features I have not used, but which I chose this lock for include the ability to set other temporary passcodes and lock/unlock it remotely. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that while it is great to be able to open the app on my phone, I feel that for being a home security/protection device, the Schlage app is lacking one security features/option that I think it should have. Namely, I cannot set the app to require a pin/touch/Face ID login/verification (like what Venmo or banking apps have) to open the app and control my lock. The only thing I can do is log completely out of the app if I want it to require any sort of password the next time then log completely back in the next time. I also cannot set the app to auto log out from what I can see. So if someone had my phone and was able to get it unlocked, they would have no further barriers to easily unlocking my house if I had forgotten to log out of the app.

Great replacement for my failed Brand X!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Wi-Fi enabled deadbolt failed this week. I tried replacing it with the exact one that failed. It would not connect so I changed course and went with the Schlage Encode. Installation was simple and it connected with my Wi-Fi without issue. It looks great and has a better warranty than the one it replaced! What’s not to like!
