I am very impressed! I tended to skip flossing in the past, but this makes it easy. When I'm done my mouth feels like I've just walked out of the dentist office.
This has turned me from a gingivitis patient to a non-gingivitis patient. The hygienist told me that this almost never happens, especially to people like me who are in their 70s. I now have very little plaque and no bleeding at all when I go to the dentist for my cleaning. I didn’t think this could be possible, but it has been. I had my previous water pik for five years, and finally the cord developed a hole in it this year so I had to replace it with another water pic. I would never be without one now.
I’ve used a floss/brush combo daily for years. Best tooth/gum maintenance ever!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't buy extra power handles

The unit itself works fine, but you can NOT buy the power handle separate per the Q&A section of their site. I guess they expect you to buy a complete unit for every single person in your home, or they expect everyone that buys one to be single. This also means when the battery dies beyond the warranty period, you will have to buy an entire unit. More garbage for the landfill! I don't see how using more than one brush per base could be a sanitary issue since I don't see how you could back wash into the water line.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello- We do apologize, but we do not have toothbrush handles available for individual sale. The brush handle is manufactured with the water flosser base to ensure compatibility between the battery and charging station. For this reason, if the toothbrush is compromised, it requires full replacement of the model.
Well built Waterpik/flosser combo. So much better than two separate units. Flossing power is plenty and it is nice to have brushing available while flossing. I at first thought unit build a bit on the light side yet it’s compact size, easy coil of cord, simplicity of water chamber to remove, fill and replace with plenty of water capacity (though I was doubtful at first), the magnetic stand for secondary brush etc are in fact well thought out and appreciated. The two buttons, one smooth and one dotted to be able to differentiate while brushing are a nice feature. A choice of small or larger brush heads is also appreciated. Mine came w two smaller ones which differ from what I had on my portable brushes yet I actually like them, though was at first uncertain, and it is good to know I can use a larger brush head as well. I would more likely rate this at 4.5 as I believe some improvements can be made however have no doubt this compact combo is efficient, practical and even fun to use.
I have been getting excellent dental checkups since starting to use the Sonic Fusion. I love the upgrades to the Sonic fusion 2.0. It is much quieter when brushing. I had the older model for 4 years. The two minute timer is an excellent way to get a thorough cleaning. I won’t ever go back to a regular toothbrush.
