I'm very pleased with the brushing and the way my mouth feels afterward. I dislike the flossing side of this system and the mess that it makes. Can't Waterpik come up with a better design?

Hello Linda B - We are sorry that you are unhappy with the flossing feature on the SF-04 model and found it messy to use. There is a trick to it. We have found the best advice we can give is to always place the brush head in your mouth before pressing the FLOSS button. Lean over the sink and slightly close lips enough to prevent splashing while still allowing water to flow from mouth into the sink. Disappointed that brush controls water and not base of unit. Gets confusing with two buttons on brush. Had the table unit before since 1980's and really liked the button on base.
