This is sooo much better than just brushing! I am almost always amazed at how many particles are flushed out by the water flossing function, even after I have brushed for 2 minutes. Great idea and such a great product!

A lot of build-up happens after every use so make sure to clean and dry off otherwise the base gets a white buildup and gets into the buttons. It does clean much better than the traditional toothbrush.

Hi AshleyR - We recommend removing the brush head from the handle and rinse the brush head under running water after each use. From time to time, you may need to clean your unit. Great sonic toothbrush by itself & then add the function of a flossing toothbrush combo to make your mouth dance with happiness! Seriously my mouth never felt so completely clean. Impressed with how this little cleaning machine works (we got the 2.0 version because I like the latest models of anything) & would recommend it to anyone that wants what I believe is the best device for my mouth.
