Hello Barbara - Thank you for your feedback on the SF-04. We're sorry you found the product difficult to use. The toothbrush can be disconnected for travel or hose-free brushing. You can disconnect the toothbrush from the water hose by pressing the round button on the backside of the power handle.

As someone who was always lazy when it came to flossing, this toothbrush made my dental routine fun! My mouth has never felt so clean, and my teeth were visibly whiter after just one day. Although this toothbrush and flosser are both powerful, they are extremely gentle - I have very sensitive teeth to cold, so being able to floss with warm water has been a game changer! This product is worth every penny, and I will be highly recommending to friends and family!

Great item, does what it says it does! Hard for people with hand grip to control water spray when connected with hose, but does fabulous job! Disabled folks may need adaptors to be attached to hold on to it, but the brush is easy on the gums and the waterpik does an incredible job of removing stuff between teeth, just be prepared for the mouth leakage!! LOL

The concept of this is good. But the design missed the mark. The coiled water line is clunky at best. Less than one week of use, and already starting to see leaks. Turning on the flossing function sounds like a motorcycle revving up in your bathroom. Not a good product to use while trying to quietly get ready for work and allow your spouse to sleep in. The noise and vibration from this unit severely detract from any benefits. Very surprised that there is very little mention of the noise. Not something to get used to. What's the point of a travel case? The flossing unit is not designed for travel. However, the toothbrush is. Defeats the purpose of complete oral care when traveling. The output water pressure is nice. But remember that the greater the pressure, the louder it gets. This unit needs a muffler, ear plugs, or a quiet option button.

This is not my first nor second Waterpik product and, as expected, it does not disappoint. The flexibility for the water output strength really came in handy after some recent oral surgery where I couldn't apply the same intensity to all areas of my mouth. And the smaller sized brush head is great for targeting teeth and avoiding sore gums.
