As my first gaming laptop, I LOVE how it feels and works... BUT... Should I really only expect 50 minutes out of a full battery? (And I do mean only 50 minutes on high settings)

I wanted a newer computer with a good graphics card to do Fusion 360, this laptop allowed me to upgrade the Ram and SSD. I will probably never use it for gaming. It is a great value, and the second ASUS laptop I have had.
