Best vacuum ever!

Anyone who gave this less than 5 stars must have got a rare dud or something. I have owned 2 different vacuums of a lesser but competitive brand, as I was sure that the cost didn't equal better quality but I went through 2 of them and they both had so many issues and never ever cleaned like the V15 does. This thing picks up EVERYTHING and my 2 dogs have a lot of dog hair that used to be an issue - not anymore! 100% worth the money. As an added bonus my 12 yr old son loves to see how many particles he can pick up, he vacuums daily and makes a game of it! My only con and it's extremely minor is having to hold the trigger, I wish it just had an on/off; however, it does help save batter as if I have to put it down for a min to move something it stays off. All in all, if on the fence just buy the darn thing!

Best Vacuum I have ever owned

This is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned. It is easy to use and does an amazing job cleaning our home. The battery life is great. It picks up more dirt and hair than any other vacuum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrific performance

We already own two Dyson vacuums cleaners, and after years of use, it was time for a new one. No, the old V8 and V10 are not broken and it still work just fine, but they are getting worn and the batteries need replacing. After reading up on the new models, the V15 Detect caught my eye.
We bought is and there is no looking back. My wife has turned into a vacuum freak over this thing, all because of the "Laser Light" on the hardwood cleaning head. That laser light illuminates every speck of dust. She uses the vacuum every evening to clean a few places that see a lot of traffic during the day. When the laser lights up, and she sees the dust/dirt, she can't stop until it is all gone.
The V15 Detect performs terrific. The suction automatically adjusts, it is easy to clean and the attachments are easy to change. This is a very well rounded cleaning system that really cleans well, and every attachment included that we could ever need. It is a very high quality vacuum that deserves 5 stars.

Some thoughts on my new V15S

I have been dry vacuuming with my new V15S for about a month now so I thought it was finally time to give it a shot on the submarine end— i.e. wet mop, clean my floors. I loaded it up with water and begin using it as directed on some extremely dirty ceramic tile with a textured finish Beneath a chair in my house. At first it seemed to not do anything to the obviously extremely dirty tile, and I began to be disappointed. Then, once the cleaning roller was thoroughly saturated after a few minutes, it really started doing its job! Only complaint and suggestion to Dyson: on your next iteration, please try to come up with a configuration on the cleaning head that will get right into the corner of the wall where it meets the baseboard. I had literally a dark stripe of about 1 inch all along the baseboard in that area because it could not get close enough. Not to complain as I didn’t need to scrub the whole open area, but needing to spray and scrub along the baseboard and the baseboard added an extra step. Just a suggestion if you could get somehow closer into the angle that reaches and meets baseboards this thing would be a dream! I plan on using it in my Airbnbs which have vinyl smooth floor, and definitely are newer and do not have the accumulated grime at the baseboards (my house is the stepchild in my cleaning) so this will be a breeze and I love the cordless Dysons for running all over as needed. Thanks Dyson I went and bought the V12 so I have a lighter unit for doing overhead items and that suctions excellently —very happy with that as well!

I love the laser attachment. I bought this as a Christmas gift and couldn't help to also buy myself one! I find myself vacuuming almost everyday just because it's actually fun! It's amazing how much debris I have around my house when I vacuum everyday, but I love using it. I added to my daily routine as well. Easy to clean, battery last long, I even used it to clean my car! I I live in an apartment complex where you share a community vacuum... I didn't have to use that and everyone took notice. Looks nice. Overall. GO DYSON! Love it.

The only reason it isn't a 5* review is because emptying it out is messy. I love the green light showing the dust on the floor. Seeing all the dust makes vacuuming so satisfying.

We have had our Dyson V15 for a few weeks now. We Added it to our other Dyson arsenal of products. The Detect Absolute is absolutely amazing for our hard wood floors. We love the convenience of the stick style vacuum.
