Absolutely AMAZING vacuum!

I'm so GLAD that I bought THIS Battery Powered Stick Vacuum.....great product!!! SO EASY to change the heads, so lightweight, and easy to empty.
It EASILY converts to a handheld so I can: A: dust the furniture with it; B: change the tool and then vacuum the steps quick and easily C:convert back to floor vacuum and clean the wood floor & area rugs, PLUS it has an AMAZING attachment that allows me to stand straight up and VACUUM under the couch & tables!!! MUCH needed since I'm pushing 70 and can't get up and down easily.
Also, the Detect + Head REALLY shows any and all small dust particles on the floor so I can get the floor sooooo CLEAN. LOVE IT!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it, but….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love absolutely everything about my new vacuum. It works great, love the laser, feel like my floors are cleaner than ever. However… The only negative is that I sure wish there was an on off switch. When you have a large house to vacuum and you have to hold the trigger the entire time your finger gets tired and cramps. Too bad there isn’t a weight to hold the switch in place. That’s my only negative. Dyson please fix this and find a way to help us that already on this wonderful product.

Great vacuum, almost

I like the long battery and the way it maneuvers around everything. What I don’t like is the clogging up all the time with, mostly, dog hair. I also got a warning to dry the filter which wasn’t wet. We have 3 med dogs who shed but not enough to clog so quickly like it does. I’d recommend for someone with none or only one dog. The hair was why we bought it. Not a selling feature.

We're sorry to hear that you've begun to experience an issue with frequent clogs as well as trouble with the filter indicator on your machine. If you do have pets in the home, you may find that more frequent bin emptying is necessary, as well as more frequent brush bar maintenance. You should, however, notice that your brush bar remains fairly hair free, thanks to the anti-tangle comb which cleans hair from the brush bar, while you clean.

My Dyson picks up all the dirt and dog hair fabulously. The only thing I wish it had was an on / off switch because you have to hold the button down the whole time your vacuuming and it hurts my thumb.

So I had HIGH hopes for this vaccum. After my last Dyson stand up died, I wanted the latest and greatest Dyson had to offer. I’m a clean freak and so I’m willing to $$$$ to get the best of the best. According to the Dyson demo representatives THIS is there best model. Ok. So excited. Bought it. Bought the docking station it arrived and,,,,, ehhh???? Now I’m going to give you an honest review. At first I put on the laser head ( annoying btw that you constantly have to switch btwn heads) it was night by the time the Dyson fully charged so I turned off the light and VIOLA - my unethically reaction was wow. I can see SO much allergens on my floors- this is amazing. So I vaccines my expensive hardwood floors and switched to the carpet brush- again Unassembling rhe attachment, putting in the new one. Kinda getting annoying but Ok- it’s new. Let’s get used to it. I go to vaccum my rugs, wool no problem- filled up the ENTIRE tiny canister, back I go to unassemble the attachment in order to empty the canister cause that’s the only way to do it,,,it’s fine- it’s DYSON. Again I reattach and vaccum the bathroom rugs. No problem. Now I go to vaccum my dining and sitting area low pile rugs,,, ehhh it’s ok,,, AGAIN go to empty canister. AGAIN unattached attachment- again reattach it ( cause that’s what you have to do EVERY TIME in order to empty it) at this point my finger abs hand is getting tired. I’ve been assembling it abs unassembling it to empty canister 100 times by now and do CONSTANTLY have to hold down the tigger button is getting annoying and uncomfortable PS- I’m 34 and fit and even I’m getting a sore arm at this point- what exactly IS the point if NOT putting an ON/OFF switch??? Supposedly to save battery life,,,hmm??? NOT really becuz my battery is already dying and in NO way did “60” minutes pass,, so I go to vaccum now my living room and kitchen rugs etc which have a medium pile,, I’m still optimistic,,, I mean this is Dyson. It’s the best model,, right. So I start in my medium pile rugs,,, and here’s where it became an epic 1K fail,,, it won’t accurately vaccum them, I can go forward no problem but the backward motion that happens when you vaccum, the head just Bumps off your he rugs??? I don’t know how to describe it. It’s not sealed to the floor underneath. It just WONT go back. It’s skids backwards??? Wt hell is this??? I have a lot of expensive rugs I need to vaccum. PS. The carpet and laser head are tiny- there small,, anyway at this point I’m glad there’s a 30 days money back. Oh and I tried every which way, lowest suction. Eco setting. Medium suction. Eco setting etc. STILL same thing. So I’m a bit disheartened so I decied to put the laser head back on to justify me buying this vaccum, I mean I just lasered it before and then vaccumed so I’m not really expecting to see anything. Just curious. GUESS what 30 minutes later AFTER being vaccumed with the laser head my floors looked exactly the same as they did before!!!! And then it dawns on me,,, there are allergens naturally in the air. ALL. THE. TIME. ,naturally. so you can vaccum it with the laser but 30 minutes later it’ll be the same again. So what exact is the point if the laser since allergens will always be naturally acquiring in the air and I have Dyson air purifier,,, unless you want to vaccum ur floors every 30 minutes?? Plus I felt kinda stupid vacuuming my floors at night in the dark with the lights off like I’m in a sci-fi movie,,, crazy,, so I tried again in the morning and at that point the laser was pretty much useless as when it’s daytime and the lights are on it pretty much does nothing and I’m NOT intrested in vacuuming my floors only at night in the dark. So after ALL the manual switching off the attachments. The constant emptying of the canister. The constant unattaching. Reattaching and the sore arm of having to hold down this trigger for 30-40 minutes with battery lasting probably closer to 40 minutes. I am NOT impressed. This thing sucks! To me it’s the complete opposite of being harmonious and intuitive. It’s A LOT of intensive labor involved in this machine. You spent more time taking off putting on the attachments to empty canister than you do actual cleaning! So BACK to the Dyson Demo store it goes tomorrow. I’m still debating wether to try the Absolute + or just switch back to the stand up canister. I’m still of the mindset. But it’s DYSON. Their engineer’s. But wow. This was an epic fail. Too hyped up and away overated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

V15 Detect is our newest cord-free model, and it introduced several new features including our Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head, which has the laser to detect particles you can't normally see, a piezo sensor which counts and measures the size of dust particles, and the intelligence to adapt power to dust levels, in real-time. When cleaning with the Laser Slim Fluffy head, if the piezo sensor is detecting more particles on the floor, it will automatically adjust the suction as needed to ensure nothing gets left behind.
With regard to the trigger, we do hear this often - customers want an on/off switch. This information is always being passed back to our engineering team for any future product improvements or new machines. Currently, the run-time enhancing trigger remains in place, ensuring that power is only used when and where it's needed. I can also confirm that with regard to emptying the dust bin, due to the inline construction of this cord-free machine, you do need to remove the wand from the bin, in order to open up the bin base door.

Works great on dust!!!

I love the V15. My complaint is that it gets clogged with dog hair and dust. You can remove the blockage of course. Very light weight and handy.
