Bin is so small it's useless

I don't understand why anyone would make a vacuum with such a small bin. If you have pets this vacuum is basically useless because you have to dump it out every minute and it gets clogged super easy.
I'm so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lackluster experience on a flagship product

For a company that prides itself so intensely on their designs I don't see how this one made it out of the lab. Emptying the v15 is an absolutely awful process that just releases the billions of small particulates you just sucked up right back into your room. Doesn't really help that I can see how many particles I picked up when they're just being deposited right back. Also most of the time I find I have to shove my hand into the nasty canister to remove everything, shaking it simply doesn't work... I want to like it but instead I'm really disappointed in this one after "upgrading" from the Animal Complete standing vac I've had for the last decade.

Hello Jose, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your review. We love to hear and learn from our owners. We're sorry to hear that we seem to have missed the mark with our V15 Detect. On some of our older cord-free machines, the wand would attach to the side of the dust bin. When we re-engineered our cord-free machines to be more streamlined to increase airflow, starting with our V10 models, the wand now attaches to the front of end of the bin, so the wand and floor tool or other attachment would need to be removed, to empty the bin. We do appreciate the feedback that you have shared here with us.

I've had multiple Dysons and have loved the products but this one not so much. Too top heavy, screen too complicated and compared to older models it doesn't pick up well. I should have returned

I love the machine but being 76 I’m finding it on the heavy side. Although it maneuvers great I just wish it was lighter. I would not trade it for anything though!
I love the head for wood floors. Didn’t see all the small particles on the kitchen wood floor.
Still getting use to taking the motor off the pipe to empty the waste bin. Since I have dogs, I need to do this often and it should be simpler. I move from carpet to wood floors often. Changing heads are more difficult. Think once I push the release button it would come right out; but some times it requires more finesse.
Feel that it is cleaning effectively and can’t believe how much is captured by the filter. I’ve had this machine a little over a month and had to clean the filter!
