Overall a very good product. Easy to mount and setup.
Sometimes emptying it is problematic.
It requires changing attachments to go from floor to carpet that is a drawback. Most attachments are very good and quite effective.

Good suction, very good maneuverability helped a lot by the absence of an annoying power cord, good enough ergonomics (a trigger lock would be great), battery life a bit less than stellar, OK filtration, relatively low noise.

Received a Dyson V10 Animal as a gift.
After searching reviews, I decided to upgrade to the V15 Detect. Glad I did! Very quiet operation, automatic suction power based on illuminated dust/dirt. Very easy maintenance. The vacuum itself is very maneuverable and lightweight! Purchased extra filters and cleaning brush roller which were fairly inexpensive!

It's our first Dyson, and we really like it. Great suction, and like the light, but boy it shows where all the dirt is that you never see. We used our daughters V11 and that's what drove us to purchase a new Dyson vacuum.

Am I happy with my Dyson purchased? Yes I do. Happy with the suction power, all the attachments really helpful for me to clean the house. My issues with this vacuum are the machine & the way we have to open the container to throw all trash. Yes it’s heavy to hold it around the house. I’m just taking it as exercise I guess, be positive. Especially if I have to vacuum all the way up. I’m 5’3” and it is taking all my muscles to hold this thing.
And after all those vacuuming, full of dust & what not, I find it very surprising that when I open the container, my face is so close to the filter. I didn’t expect there is an opening at the upper part. It’s probably just me being paranoid, but I have to hold my breath everytime. I’m not sure why the design like that because I can see something falling out from the filter area that are not going down to the trash can.
Overall, happy with the suction power.
And after all those vacuuming, full of dust & what not, I find it very surprising that when I open the container, my face is so close to the filter. It's a terrific vacuum, however, when you remove the wand to use the built in crack and crevice tool, to put it back together you have to first remove the crack and crevice tool from the head unit, push it back into the want until it clicks, then put the wand back onto the head unit until it clicks. You cannot simple re assemble it the way you took it apart.
