I have been a Dyson vacuum customer for years and upgrade when better ones arrive. This one does have better suction power and I was amazed when using the UV light showing the dust that was missed. I don’t quite understand why the regular head didn’t pick up the dust to begin with? This vacuum is heavier than previous Dysons I have but the suction seems better. Using it on free door mats cause the mat to suction up to the head so I had to stand on mat to keep it down. The particle size display has yet to zero even though I followed instructions on disconnecting battery from power. After connecting back up it did not display “0”. Overall it’s a very good machine for picking up hair and dirt and I recommend it. Maybe operating instructions could be better detailed.

Great vacuum, if you only have hard floor.

As the title suggest, this is a great vacuum, if you only have hard floor. Don't get me wrong, this product is a great quality product. Everything screams premium and quality. The suction is great, and the heft you feel on your hand is great. Even the click when you change the attachments is satisfying. The convenience of the crevice tool in the tube is genius.
But back to the suction. It is strong, but maybe too strong. On a carpet with a longer pile, the motorized head keeps getting stuck. Even on Eco mode with the port open, it's stuck to the carpet. It works only on short pile carpet. I don't know if that's the flaw of the motorized head, or the suction is too much. Whatever it is, Dyson, it's back to square one. At this price (even the sale price), I expect better. Maybe you need a different attachment for carpet, but as of right now, that tool doesn't work on long pile carpet.

Love this except for one thing

I can say it works very well. The issue I have is it seems to clog up a lot. I am not trying to vacuum up anything heavy duty. It is dog hair that seems to clog it. It is not fun trying to unclog it. I will also say the battery does last a long time for me.

“Absolutely” Love This Vacuum

My husband and I have been using Dyson vacuum cleaners for years and have had great success with each one. We decided to upgrade this year and opted for the V15 Detect Absolute mainly because it was advertised as being HEPA. So, happy we did. The first thing we loved about it is the light. Oh, my! As he vacuumed the hardwood, the light made it so that we could see the smallest dust particles and even hair. I caught myself crawling on the floor just watching it pick up the dirt. It’s amazing. He vacuumed the rugs which we think did a great job as well. We are very pleased with this vacuum cleaner and, yes, would highly recommend it.

Gets years of dust the old dyson didn’t get

I had a dc15 that refused to die but I wanted something more powerful. The v15 is the best vacuum on earth. I consistently filled the bin for two weeks until I got all the dust down and now it gets full after cleaning the whole house. It’s a little heavy in the hand but you get used to it.
