Just the right model and type needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the outsized Dyson and replaced that one with this model type. Much more of what I need. Lighter in Weight with roller attachments that does not get tangled with hair and another attachment with laser feature for hardwood floors to see dirt and dust better enabling us to pickup more dust and dirt.

Love It - Worth Every Pretty Penny!!

Transitioned from Dyson Ball vac to V15 Detect. Love the lightweight of this vac and how it can easily vacuum under furniture that my ball vac could not do. The debris canister empty lever is a huge bonus as it pushes out the debris and dust bunnies with zero effort. My ball vac canister didn’t have this feature and was not always easy to get everything emptied out. Vacuuming has become a much easier weekend chore!

Great cordless vac

Had this vac for several months now, and it has many great features. Suction is great and it is easy to maneuver. It's great for getting dirt off the floor, and has never once gotten anything tangled in the brush attachment. What it doesn't have is a hose and wand for getting into cushions and crevices. I get out my heavy, older model Dyson for that. The colored bar graph that appears while I'm vacuuming is pretty, but since I don't vacuum with my glasses, I have no clue what it's telling me.

I bought this as a housewarming gift to myself and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase! of course when you’re making a purchase this big, you read the bad reviews to know what could go wrong. my dyson had no defects, it worked perfectly out of the box, holding in the trigger is very easy so my hand doesn’t get too tired, and so far it’s worked on multiple different types of carpets. I have a very thick almost shaggy rug that you do have to push harder and make sure you’re on the lower level suction, but I think any vacuum would struggle with this and it still cleaned very efficiently. I also got my dyson with all of the accessories, and the hair screw tool is insanely effective. if you’re between models or don’t know if a vacuum is worth this much money, look up vacuum wars on youtube and they’ll convince you! the hardwood fluffy brush is a complete game changer, especially in my bathroom/laundry room where I was appalled at how much dust there was, you could see exactly where the dyson had already cleaned with the laser. it’s also very easy to empty, although sometimes hair gets wrapped in the canister the wrong way and you have to do a little reach in - nothing compared to bag vacuums or the ones with giant canisters that leave a dust cloud behind! last thing is the charging time - I have half hardwood floors and half carpet, i’ve been cleaning a ton since i’ve moved and got a puppy, and it lasts at least 40 minutes every time I’m using it on Auto (i’ve never had to use Max power) so I’ve never been concerned with charging time. overall, every possible concern was proven wrong and the cordless vacuum is a life changer after only ever having corded uprights. vacuuming is actually fun with the laser and maneuverability of the regular roller head, even my boyfriend agrees! in my opinion the V15 has the best features (highest suction power, the laser cleaner, and 2nd best battery life) so I would highly recommend saving up for this model! my friend wanted a dyson and I let her clean her house with mine (two long haired cats) and she immediately bought one. i’ve also cleaned my car, couch, drawers, and stairs with it and it can truly get any job done.

Best Vacuum Ever!

I have used vacuums my entire life, albeit all corded, and this Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is absolutely the best vacuum. I never thought I would enjoy vacuuming the house as much as I do now. It's light, powerful, versatile, and easy to clean. I should have switched years ago!

I first received my V15 absolute May 6. Pretty much after 10min of use it told me my filter needed cleaned. Even after cleaning the filter the way the demo said it continues to say filter needed cleaned. I contacted Dyson customer service and got a wonderful girl that made an exchange for me sent my machine back and received my new second machine within a couple days. So far everything good. I love the machine it does an awesome job on my vinyl floors. The green laser light is genius!!! It shows every bit of dust, hair, and crumbs on the floor. I feel like my floors are clean after using. I love the battery power NO cords!!! super handy !!!!

Expensive vacuum but worth it (assuming it lasts)

My wife and I bought the V15 about six weeks ago and we've both used it quite a bit already and love it! It's very powerful yet light enough that it doesn't tire us out too quickly. So far, battery life has not been an issue. We have a 2500 sq. ft. house and have no problem getting everything done with power still left over. Using the V15 is so quick and easy I think we tend to vacuum more often so it actually goes quicker. We have all hardwood so we use laser slim head the most but have used the Motorbar head on our two large area rugs and it works good. The built in crevice tool is a great feature that we find ourselves using all the time which also helps get the cleaning done quickly. I don't have any complaints I can come up with. Others complain about the trigger but neither my wife or I even notice it. Same with canister size, yes it can fill up quickly if your cleaning up a major mess or spill but for normal everyday cleaning we usually finish the whole house and then empty it and put the unit back on the charger. Over all, we're very happy with our purchase. If it starts causing problems or breaks down we will come back and update this review but in the mean time I'm crossing my fingers!

My wife has been searching for years for the perfect vacuum. Well here it is! She loves everything about this vacuum and I love not having to sell vacuums online. If you want to enjoy a tedious bit necessary task then spend buy this vacuum. I fully believe now that you get what you pay for.
