One word - AMAZING!

I purchased this model to replace my older model cordless Dyson that we've had for many, many years. It was the best at the time but only had a 20 min run time. With 3 cats and 2800 sq ft home, we needed a longer lasting charge. This V15 model is unbelievable. I can vacuum the entire house on one charge. And the laser which I thought would just be a gimmick, is a must have!!! We renovated our kitchen including the tile floor about a year ago. They have been washed and vacuumed over and over. With the laser I found about 15-20 areas where there was grout on the top surface of the tile that blended in with the color, so we never saw. I was able to find and remove. And it helps us also see where the cat hair is which blends with our floor color. We are breathing easier too. I notice a big difference with my allergies in the short time we started to use this vac. Sooooo happy with this purchase. The price tag is a bit high, but these last a long time and it is worth every penny.
We also purchased the stand. So much easier for me than the wall mount. If you have a good outlet in a closet or a corner, this stand makes grabbing the vac quick and easy. I use mine 4-5 times a week because of the cats and our allergies.

Good vacuum with caveats

The vacuum does a great job of cleaning
Wishlist:
1. Make it lighter. This is heavier than the V10, and it gets tiresome to use.
2. Make the location of the battery/bin adjustable on the vacuum, like some other cordless brands. That would make it easier to move and not so top heavy. Wish the weight was not concentrated at the top of the vacuum.
3. Make the battery pack lighter.
4. Make the default mode Eco.
5. Have a Power On/Off switch. Pushing the trigger and managing the added weight is cumbersome.

If you’re not using a Dyson V15 to clean your house, then your house is disgusting. Trust me. This photo is what my new Dyson picked up from a small 8x10 rug that I literally JUST vacuumed with my old vacuum.

We already had a dyson V8 and decided it was time to upgrade to a newer model. We were a little hesitant based on the price but WOW after seeing the power on our newer model I wish we had purchased much sooner. Do not hesitate. Buy this vacuum.

This vacuum is unbelievable! I have 2 Dyson stick vacuums, but my daughter bought one and I could not believe how great it is. So I had to buy one. We just got new flooring and thought it was pretty clean until I used this DETECT one. I know it is a bit pricey, but it is so worth it. You can see everything with the lightened one sweep and it gone! It also last quite a bit longer than my old ones. I also recommend you vacuum at dusk when the light really shows the dirt. It is one of the BesT purchases I have ever made!

Who knew you could have so much in your carpet!? I was shocked literally at everything it pulled up. We have three cats and an Australian Shepard and my goodness the stuff that came up was just DISGUSTING! I cleaned the container 6 times. That is just nuts! I was using a regular old vacuum obviously masking all the dirt! Deff recommend a spare battery. I will be buying one. Thanks Dyson! My first expensive vacuum and it was well worth the money!!!

LOVE my Dyson V15 Detect

Super easy to set up. The amount of suction is fabulous. Not difficult at all to use daily if necessary. It is obvious the battery life reduces significantly going from tile floor to plush carpet. Makes sense though, it has to work harder. So glad I bit the bullet and purchased this.
