New to Dyson products, have heard the craze over the years and finally decided to check it out. Bought v15 detect absolute. The suction power on boost is amazing but of course that will only last like 10 min so not so practical. On auto or medium suction is ok, it does the job. I also would have thought that the roller would have faster spin but not really but yet again it does the job. Using the soft roller brush for hardwood floor when vacuuming backwards it just pushes the debri backwards and not suction on the way back. wish it had some kind of vent or lift so that it can suction on the way back. The laser could be addicting to look at cuz it does lighten up the debris and you know it's clean. The wheels at times squeel which is a little annoying as it shouldn't. Being like 1 month old. Hopefully I don't have to lubricate them.

Cordless vacuum V 15I guess I expected it to be much better than it was. It’s not very strong and it runs out of power really quick. It should’ve come with two batteries instead of one. I’m still glad I got it.

Worth the Cost

I was reluctant to spend this much on a cordless vacuum but I was also fed up with my mid priced vacuum failing to pick up pet hair. Although I was prepared to be disappointed, the V15 detect has surprised me. The best for my application is the green laser. It illuminates everything on my dark floors (does not work so well if well lighted). The powerful suction does a much better job on picking up pet hair.

Best vacuum I've ever used!

I love this vacuum especially in auto mode the motor speeds up and gives you power when you need it the laser is awesome it let me see things I never realized before, battery life is excellent I did my entire downstairs all rooms and floors and still had battery left, I thought it was going to be heavy it's actually not, I think it's the perfect weight and size, the floor attachment with the laser is low profile I can even get under my couch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best cordless yet. We used the soft brush with the green laser light today to clean the window screens before installing them. With the light you could definitely see where you had cleaned. Excellent suction, this products equals corded upright vacuums.

Great vacuum with a useless bin

We have 3 dogs, you can imagine how much hair is around the house. This vacuum does an excellent job picking it all up. But the downside? You need to empty the bin every 2 min. So if you're upstairs in the bedroom, you better have a garbage bag with you. No idea why they make it so small. It has a capacity for vacuuming maybe 2 to 3 min at a time.

I read the New York Times review of vacuum cleaners that described this model with a laser that shows what's on the floor. It was quite expensive, which is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars, but much fun to use and quite effective. It is rechargeable battery-powered so no cord to trail around.
