Disappointed

Particle counter stopped working after second use. LCD screen also stopped functioning correctly after second use. Customer service did replace the item but this seems to be a common problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This freaking vacuum works too well. it really picks up EVERYTHING. I MEAN EVERYTHING. I have a roomba s9+ and we vacuum behind it once a week and the ammount of dust and sand it picks up is disgusting........ The dyson v15 really cleans too good.

Love dyson v15 for home cleaning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first cordless dyson in my house and I really love it. Actually I already have 4 dyson corded vacuums in my house, the oldest one in the garage(18 years), the small one at the backyard deck (13 years), The other two ball animal2 for upper leave and basement (almost 9 years) they all working good. I have the faith for dyson's products.

Makes vacuuming a breeze

While the price could be $200 less for the vacuum, overall this is a joy. I vacuum the house twice as much now as I did before getting this easy-breezy vacuum. Recommended.

Good vacuum

Vacuum is finally working good after having to be replaced by warranty. I bought the v15 detect plus and it had some issues out of the box. I am a little disappointed knowing they had issues with mine and then two months later discovered tinier the b15 detect plus and made the absolute which is stronger on boost probably solving the issues I was having. I should have been given the upgrade when I had to get a new vacuum body sent.

I waited for a few weeks of use before writing my review. I am very impressed and the V15 has far exceeded my expectations even after reading the literature and viewing the videos before ordering. I really love the ability to connect the power brush directly to the vacuum without the long tube. This works awesome on the carpeted stairs. The laser brush on hardwood floors really does show the dirt, it’s definitely not a gimmick. Because of the low design it makes it very easy to clean under beds and living room furniture. The battery has plenty of run time. Very easy to empty the canister. The canister has plenty of storage. I had read some reviews that said the canister wasn’t near large enough but I have found it to be just fine. After cleaning the floors with the Dyson the first time I have found the canister doesn’t get near as full now. My guess is the previous vac just wasn’t getting the floor near as clean as the Dyson does. Very good noise level as well for as much suction as it generates. I love the ability to dust the top of the cabinets with the U shaped connector as well as the convenience of attaching the brush to the tube and reaching high enough to get along the edge of the ceiling for tiny spider webs and dust. I couldn’t be happier with the design and performance and would give more than 5 stars if I could. Just the ease of doing stairs makes the purchase worthwhile. I find myself looking for a reason to use it. Works great on the car as well. Very, very well pleased. One more thing… I have spent a lot of time cutting long hair off of the beater bar of any vacuum I’ve ever used. Amazing design on this Dyson. Not 1 hair wrapped around the bar. Awesome!

Don't know how I lived without this vac

I have had my V15 Detect for 6 weeks and have used it every day. This is the first cordless vacuum I have owned, and I LOVE IT. I was concerned the battery might not last long enough to clean my entire house, but it does. I have 4 dogs, and shedding is their job, so much dog hair. The laser light on my hardwood and tile shows every hair. The first time I used it I was amazed and embarrassed. I thought I was getting most of the hair up with a swifter in conjunction with my old vacuum (not a Dyson). I was wrong. I do not know how I managed without this vacuum.

A game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are veteran Dyson owners, and we're accustomed to the changes in technology as Dyson introduces new models. The V15 Detect has taken this to a new level. The soft head is exceptional, as always, in picking up small particles from hard surfaces, which is our particular challenge. But the addition of a laser beam on this head highlights what we routinely miss, and that's made a significant difference in how we deal with pet dust (two parrots and a cat). In addition, the V15 includes a head that makes it easier to reduce hair buildup, which is a significant advance in convenience for maintenance. In sum, the V15 is a cordless vacuum that changes the cleaning game.
