I've used my V15 for a month now. It works great. I have three dogs so I have to vacuum often. This unit is so lightweight and it is very powerful it removes dirt and dog shed throughout the house including carpet and wood floors on one charge. I love this thing.

I’ve had my Dyson V15 Detect for a month and a half now. I absolutely love it. I just retired and have had a heavy workhorse of a machine for many years. I can no longer heft that machine around on three floors, and using attachments has always been a major hassle. It’s performance as far as cleaning is awesome; however my new Dyson stands right up to the test of performance alongside that machine and is sooooo much easier to use, carry and change out attachments. First major project upon retiring about a week and a half after receiving my Dyson was to clear out a basement room that had become the dumping ground for all extraneous things for years, clean it, paint walls and transform it into a bedroom. My Dyson was invaluable to not only vacuum years of dust, but it was my friend as I sanded walls prior to painting. As far as weight goes, it does get heavy for an older female hand and wrist, but that’s just a necessity when it comes to a vacuum. For the excellent performance and ease of use, the weight of this lightweight machine has to go somewhere. I knew that when I bought it. That’s what my other arm and hand is for…to assist when needed lol. I do have to wear a lightweight glove with the fingers cut off as the machine rests against the first knuckle of my thumb and wears thinning skin off without it. All is smooth on the machine there…just an old people problem lol. I just washed my filter and have decided to order another one, because now I have to wait a whole 24 hours to use it. Same with the battery…I use the Dyson daily now because it’s so easy to use, and I hate having to wait when the urge strikes to vacuum something! I’m happy with the machine and feel the money was well spent. Based on its performance so far, I believe I’ll get my money’s worth and then some.

Great vacuum minus the battery life

It could be a me problem because this is my first cordless vacuum, but the battery only lasts about 20 mins unfortunately. Otherwise it’s great! We have two German shepherds and if you know you know! The hair is everywhere and this vacuum does a great job at getting in all the nooks and cranny’s of the house.

My dad LOVES his!

We bought this for my father and he constantly tells me how great it is and how quickly he can get through the house. He’s used to canister vacuums and this has made his life much easier with a large space and lots of hardwoods.

This is our fourth Dyson model purchased and they just keep getting better. Our latest model before this one was a V8, and there is no comparison to the power that the V15 offers compared to any other that I've used.
On to the V15:
I thought that the laser technology was a gimmick - it definitely is not. We have a lot of ceramic tile in a light shade. It is amazing the dust and small particles that you can see while sweeping, and I also found that my baseboards needed a good cleaning, as the laser pointed that out as well!
The digital motorbar also cleans very well on our carpet and also the tile. We have both low and deep pile carpet, and it was a nice surprise to find the suction adjustment on the motorbar, allowing me to adjust for maximum suction.
The digital display is also a great feature. I like to switch between the auto and boost modes depending on the specific area that I'm cleaning and it's good to know how much battery charge is left while switching between modes.
The motor is powerful and it is nice to hear the motor pick up suction when you encounter a dirtier area.
Emptying the bin is quite easy and a great improvement over the V8.
I use the wall mount bracket for charging, and thanks to Dyson for keeping the mounting pattern the same as the V8. They have kept this the same for all three cordless model that we've purchased, the V6, V8, and V15.
While making our last purchase, I was having a difficult time in choosing the right model. I'm glad that we went with the V15. We still have our older models, including a corded DC7. They all still run well. We keep one on each floor for quick spot cleaning, but when a full home sweep is required, the V15 is now our go to machine.

Love the convenience and power of this vac. Extra battery time is appreciated. All the features are as advertised. I will NEVER go back to corded vacs!
