Dyson Detect outdoes itself

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am the proud owner of a Dyson V6 and Dyson DC25 Upright Motörhead. I received the Dyson Detect a little over a week ago and this vacuum has solved all the small things that I disliked about my V6. Suction, Canister Size and Ease of emptying are all significant improvements. Now lets get to the real technology, the Dyson Detect has a laser on the hardwood floor head which allows you to see dust and debris that is present on your floor. Normally, I wouldn’t think that this technology is needed but I will say that it unbelievable what you can’t see. The digital display on the head of the unit allows you to switch power modes, shows battery runtime and detects the micron size of the particles that you have just vacuumed up. Again, not a feature that I thought I’d like but I will admit I did enjoy knowing how much dirt I just vacuumed up and of what size it was. On Auto mode the Dyson Detect automatically detects floor type and amount of dirt and adjusts the motor accordingly - which to me is well, kinda amazing and awesome. There are lots of accessories with this vacuum - multiple heads for any job you could think of. I will say that because of the way you empty this canister you need to remove all attachments prior to emptying. The downside to this is only that the extension pole doesn’t come off as easily as I’d like. This is a very impressive vacuum and one that will be an asset to any home (big or small).

Best Vacuum

I waited a few months to write the review. Wanted to make sure it could withstand the long hair of the vacuum killer (aka out dog Gypsy). I had gone through 4 other vacuums and they were ruined by her long hair wrapping around the brush head. Even when I cleaned the head prior to using. Not this Vacuum! It doesn't wrap around the brush head or the fluffy brush! The amount of dirt it picks up is amazing and scary at the same time. The detect on the hard floors is so cool. I close the blinds so I can see what it picks up. Let's just say I never realized that hard floors could attract that much dust and dirt as well as hair. The best part is that our above mentioned dog who is now 14 is not afraid of this vacuum. I named it Lucy and tell her that Lucy is coming out to play. She follows me everywhere.

New purchase about a month ago. I've had time to put it through its paces and found that it performed excellently. Loving all the attachments to do any job necessary. I especially like the laser that shows the dirt on my hardwood floors. I don't think my hardwood floors have ever been so clean!

Wonderful power and features

This one is the best so far. The light is a great feature to see items on my dark floors. Good setting to boost power.
Easy to maneuver.
I hope the battery lasts- my last two did not hold a charge after continued use every day.

Fantastic for pet hair!

This vacuum is wonderful for pet hair as nothing get tangled in the bar. With my last vacuum I spent hours untangling hair from the brush bar. This vacuum is easy to empty, light, easy to maneuver and does a very good job picking up dog hair. I highly recommend it!
