Bigger and Better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently upgraded from a Galaxy watch4 to a Galaxy watch8. Everything about the 8 is bigger and better!! The tiles are expandable, the notifications can stack into specific app lists!!! And the bigger screen makes seeing the details all the more easier.

Great Buy, Samsung GW8

Great Samsung GW8! Coming from a round Galaxy Active 2(44mm), I was skeptical about the fit and appearance of the actual watch. Before my purchase, I compared the Green GW7 and this one. I am glad I chose the Graphite GW8.
Pros:
It connected flawlessly to my S22 Ultra with no issues, as I assumed it would. I was unable to restore a lot of my backup from Samsung, but I figured as much since the old Active 2 was TIZEN. Battery life is more than the Active 2, and the interface looks great, too! The screen is crisp and sharp, and swiping and opening apps is faster. I was surprised by the extra sensors made available now, which include the use of AI.
Cons:
My only gripe is the bands. They need to be more flexible, meaning right at the band's loop to the watch clip. Regardless of which band you choose, you will get the same result. Charging using the newer triple charger requires me to unclasp one side of the band to charge the watch. I know Samsung! I know I can use the included charger that comes with the watch, but seriously, more thought and research should have been done on the watch's band to accommodate or fix this issue. I thought Samsung R&D would have caught this. I'm expecting someone from Samsung to write an auto-generated rebuttal to my review regarding this issue with no excuse or correction for future buyers. Unfortunately, one is forced to look at after-market support for a watch band that has this kind of flexibility. (I will be doing so).
Conclusion:
It is a great upgrade from an older watch. I am glad my Active 2 has lasted this long, but I needed something newer, as many apps have abandoned Tizen support. Aside from the band issue, I would recommend the GW8 or even the GW7.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's cute and works just fine! Only issue I have is how it frequently disconnects from my phone when it's literally close? It's annoying but a minor issue I can handle. Other than that i like it, works just fine and is convenient for me.

Great looking watch but it doesn't connect to my watch. Have the Galaxy 6 classic and had no problems. Seriously not happy. None of the suggested fixes do not work!
