Functionality is good. The coating not so much

I've only had this watch since Oct3, 2025. I wear it daily to track workouts (swim, walk, bike) and at night to track sleep.
I noticed the silver coating on the underside of the watch is starting to peel off. I called Samsung since it's still under warranty. They tried telling me it's not a. Mfg defect and it's just probably acid in my skin.
This is my 4th samsung watch. I get a new one every 2yrs.. I've used them consistently for the same activities. This is the 1st one that does this, and it's my skins fault?!? Did my skin all of a sudden take on some new attribute that I'm unaware of?!?
The agent actually told me that I should get a medical checkup to see if there's something wrong with me. Not only is that offensive, it's just wrong. I barely sweat, I'm healthy, and I'm very ocd about my electronics. There are zero scratches, chips, or damage on this watch, other than the part that only touches my skin, yet they're saying this is my fault.

Comfy and useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new galaxy watch 8 is far more comfortable than the previous models ive owned. The silicone strap doesnt seem to be causing abrasions to my sensitive skin (previous models caused this to occur). It is very useful to have access to an accurate heart rate monitor for me and oxygen sensor in the same place as my digital debit card that i forget to grab the real one of on my way out the door occasionally. Really enjoying the new antioxidant screening features as well. Personally I dont use galaxy AI features, but it does work well if needed.

Galaxy Watch 8 44m Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Galaxy Watch 7 44m and decided to upgraded to the Galaxy Watch 8 44m . I didn't know how much the Galaxy AI was going to make a huge difference in my day to day life until mine got delivered. I use it to set schedules for when I want to prep meals, smoothies, juices, setup self-care days, workouts, and reminders for brunch dates with friends. Not having to type my schedules and reminders make life a lot easier. I left my house and forgot to turn off my lights but thankfully I was able to ask Galaxy AI on my Galaxy Watch 8 to do it and it worked. Both watches are amazing but if you have a schedule that can be hectic the Galaxy Watch 8 definitely is the way to go.

Love the look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a long time user of galaxy watches and must say, I like this model far better than the previous ones. Unfortunately, samsung failed to produce a classic meant for women (46mm only is insane) so I was stuck buying this version, but historically have purchased both models anyways, so I'm just glad I was able to make one of them work. All and all, the OS is a little laggy which I dont love, but I love the new layout, the functionality, the display and the overall feel of the watch, not to mention the sleek design, which i muxh prefer over a massively chunky watch.

Almost perfect...almost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy watch 8 , in my opinion is a great update to the Galaxy Watch7. Having Galaxy AI directly on device with gemini is much better than using bixby. The finish on the body looks much more like brushed aluminum than the previous model that looked more like painted plastic. The new band connection is very fast and convenient. I wish the connection was the same size as the watch ultra's however since I own both and would nice to not have to buy two sets bands for both watches. The only gripes I have with the watch8 are the speaker and the haptic. Both are weak. I've missed notification because the speaker just wasn't loud enough. All the health/sleep tracking info is very accurate.
