I replaced my watch 6 with 8 for battery reason, this seems to have the same issue, despite turnign off several features which can potentially drain battery life, I still don see it holding up for na entire day. very disappointed. Also the dial size does nto look good. Just the old plain circle was good. veen a 40 m is still too big for majority of women.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like it

The squircle design looks better in person. The watch band was tricky to put on. There was a moment where I thought it was in but fell off. I had to apply a bit of strength and then I heard a loud click noise each time the bands went in. After that, the watch is very secure. I have a white hybrid band. Very nice but slightly uncomfortable. May have to get used to it. Took about 3 days for the battery to learn my usage patterns. Charges very fast with an adapter. I can get to 100 percent within an hour or so and the battery lasts all day. The watch faces are very appealing, hard to pick a favorite. 40mm feels big enough for my wrist, enough room for me to type and navigate the screen. I get why they added the square exterior, bumping the watch against things was scary but the screen was spared from the impact. I recommend getting a case and protector for it just in case. The 50 dollar pre order promo was applied to my order as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. Fast 2. Cool design 3. Light The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is a triumph of design, functionality, and innovation. It caters to users who demand more from their wearable—whether that’s advanced health tracking, AI-powered coaching, or a premium aesthetic. While the price tag and strap limitations may deter some, the overall experience justifies the investment.
For Android users—especially those within Samsung’s ecosystem—the Watch 8 Classic is arguably the best smartwatch available in 2025. It’s not just a tool; it’s a companion that supports your health, enhances your productivity, and complements your style.

I really love my Galaxy 8 watch I've got it custom configured for a mix of health and sports monitoring activities. Communicates nicely with my Galaxy S24plus. Despite my loving this watch, I'm growing tired of having to charge the battery everyday and a half, you would think at this price, this class of Galaxy watches should last at least 3 to 5 days on a charge.
Watch wouldn't hold a charge for longer than 2 hours. Says it holds a charge for days but that was a lie.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my watch and all the upgrades from previous watch. I only wish the battery would last a little longer but it's way better than what it was with my old watch.
I'm a big fan of Samsung as a brand in last 20 years, including phone, watch, ear buds, tv, washing machine appliances, you name it, most of them but this has been a disappointment in design , what the designer was thinking in terms of hexagon cuts, terrific bad design that didn't work for me

Aloha Jayz, Thanks for reaching out to share your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. We appreciate your candor and critiques as we continue to improve the design and functionality of our product line. The Galaxy Watch8 offers a thinner, cushion shape design, with a significantly brighter display, along with new health features like vascular load and antioxidant index, and the introduction of the Gemini AI assistant compared to the Galaxy Watch7. Without having any details available regarding what you may be experiencing with your Galaxy Watch8 and without being able to ask you any follow up questions to probe further, I recommend reaching out to Samsung Support if you would like any further assistance. Thanks for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra
