It won't stay connected to my phone. I've only had it 2 days. Done all the trouble shooting. My options are to return or replace, why replace with another watch that wont connect (I had 2 6's with the same issue). Everything is up to date and my phone has no issues staying connected to anything else.

The worst watch ever! I regret I traded my 6 for this 8. It turns on when you put it on the charger and by midday it's dead. I tried turning it off while on the charger but the off button greys out. My 6 would last for days. This will be my last one.

I went from the Samsung watch 2 to the Samsung Galaxy 8. The earlier version worked longer. The Samsung Galaxy 8 it just sat by itself without me wearing it and it lost 20% battery. My old watch lasted 2 days without charging

Pretty watch but not good for measuring exercise

I love that this watch is very light-weighted, I can easily wear it to sleep. The band is also very comfortable. However, this watch doesn't record my exercise well, especially during HIIT or hot yoga when I start to sweat. Watch 7 never had this issue. My watch 8 just keep stop measuring my heart rate; thus, the calories keep increasing automatically. I took the watch out several times during exercising to wipe it dry, but it doesn't help.

Highly disappointed

I was given this watch as a gift, replacing a Fitbit Sense 2. The watch itself is great as just that, a fancy watch. As for the health tracking, which is the main reason I use a smart watch, only half the features work because I don't have a Samsung phone it is paired with (I have a Google Pixel). The battery is another utter disappointment- lasts maybe one day- old Fitbit would last almost a week.

Hi there Fragocole, Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. The Galaxy Watch8's functionality with non-Samsung Android phones includes core fitness tracking, Wear OS apps, and notifications, however, premium health features like ECG, Sleep Apnea Detection, Camera Controller, and Mode Sync are restricted to Samsung devices. Please keep in mind that essential features like sleep tracking, Body Composition, GPS, and Google Pay/Wallet work fully on your device even if you're utilizing a non-Galaxy phone. When it comes to battery life, the Galaxy Watch8 40mm model offers a 325mAh battery while the 44mm model provides a 435mAh battery. Great Replacement for Fitbit
on August 2, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've worn Fitbits for 10 years and decided to switch to the Samsung 8. I'm still learning how to use the various features, but so far I like it! I do wish the battery life was longer. I'm used to the 4+ days on the Fitbit, so I've run out of battery a few times.
