I bought the plain ol’ 12 and it came with a case. Not sure what case but it does not fit tight like it should with new clip case. Universal fit would be nice but now I have to buy something else that alittle wider fo fit the clip case if this makes any sense.

Fits 12x defender case loosely, but i did a workar

As built, the holster is too loose to hold the iPhone 12 in its defender MagSafe case. The workaround I did is to place 2 layers of black electrical tape inside each corner clip. That forces the 12x case firmly against the latch clip so the phone is secure in the holster.

The Defender Series XT Case with MagSafe does have an entirely different form factor than our standard Defender Series, which is why that holster for the latter isn't quite working out. We do make a specific holster for the Defender Series XT case that can be requested using the instructions on the packaging.
