No fax capabilities, otherwise good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping this had faxing capabilities but the options that are supposed to be on the screen are not there. And I don't have a faxing service with ethernet connection. Otherwise it seems to work well and was very easy to set up with my Linux OS.

I understand why it was on clearance now

Awful setup - this printer only functions partially. The scanning feature is more trouble than it is worth. Would not recommend or purchase again. I have already stopped using it.

Xerox Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Xerox Multifunction printer, and I can vouch for their quality. My first is a "Workcentre 3225 MF Printer" which is still operational (10 years old). My second is the B225 and all though I have had somewhat of a difficult time setting it up, it had nothing to do with the printer or Xerox. The set up is somewhat different than my first Xerox, so it took a little time before I got it right. My apologies go out to any of those I may have offended at Xerox. Thanks for your understanding.

Worst Printer Installation in 25 Years

In 25 years working with computers, I've never experienced so many problems with trying to install a printer. Firstly, I must point out the display panel. It is very poor quality, wrongly positioned and feels no better than a school calculator. The menu system is truly poor and extremely basic, and makes finding the information you want hard. Not intuitive in any way.
The installation however was where things took a nosedive. Windows didn't recognise the printer drivers, even off the CD is used! Even the printer software you'd expect to see wasn't present - you have to go online. Why the CD then? I could have solved this by other means, but what is most frustrating is the app. Oddly, it's called Easy Assist?? EASY ASSIST Complex, unforgiving and not user friendly is ANY way. I even tried it on different phones to check whether this made any difference. It didn't. I could not connect the app to the printer, despite trying multiple times and ways. Not connecting automatically, I opted for a manual connection. The app told me "Locate the SSID name and PW on your Printers display." Finding that information using the instructions given on the app was beyond infuriating! Lookin at the help option presents: Press OK on the control panel until you see the SSID and PW. Not only does nothing happen, but the information doesn't even appear anywhere else. The instructions simply do not correspond with how it functions.
I'd had enough of inkjet printers and expected a far better experience than what I've had. This is Xerox! It's going back to the supplier and I won't be ordering another Xerox. Dreadfully disappinted.

Do not buy

This the third year i'm using this printer and conlusion is that the connectivity of printer is useless, i'm fighting over two hours to make the pc recognise the printer, is on wifi with static ip and xerox software cannot find the printer, useless machine. Instead of being the easiest thing to connect the printer is so frastrating that i will go to another brand. Waste of money. I bought it because i know xerox is a brand name. Sure maybe on machines that cost over 1000dollars
