Nice screen but bug-prone

Nice screen, easy enough to scroll through options.
Nice screen easy to scroll through options. But several times now the unit has dropped WiFi contact and will not respond to set it up again. I have to get the AC tech to do that. The Honeywell Home app does not appear to list this model, either. So I go through all the listed models to set up a new device and nothing works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worse than the wife!

This thing dont connect for crap! Now I got the wife nagging more than usual about the AC! Cost me at least 10 cases of keystone and for what? WIFI keeps asking me to register after I reconnect. The quality just aint good neither. This company's so cheap they would give a nickel to see Jesus riding a bicycle!

I'm an HVAC tech. in S. AZ. This T-stat was pretty friendly as far as install and set up.. If there was one thing I would recommend to home-owners that are going to D.I.Y. ( TURN THE POWER OFF.. ) ( UNPLUG THE FURNACE/ AIR HANDLER)... Take your time.and read the instructions...

I bought it as I have an old furnace and was I told by my air-condition repair company. Son far it works really well. I like the fact that it's internet compliant.

Wouldn't buy again

The thermostat has a 0.1 degree adjustment on temperature. This means that even though it reads at 68 degrees, every time the temp changes by 0.1 degrees it kicks on the furnace. Causing the furnace to run constantly. Honeywell said this was working as designed. It seems this is the way HW does things now. I am changing mine out for an ecobee soon. You still have some control over the swing of temp. These were supposed to save money and they are costing more money. No thanks. Oh, and the wifi doesn't work a little over a year later. These require professional support so cha-ching! more money.

Hi, we are sorry that you feel this way. All our thermostats have a -+1 degree differential that cannot be adjusted, but we will be happy to help you troubleshooting the Wi-Fi part. Make sure that you have a 2.4 GHz only network with no extenders or repeaters and visit the Support Center link at the top of the page for ways to get in touch.

WiFi disconnect

Work fine til now Vision Pro 8000 thermostat WiFi disconnect and message for reset WiFi, nothing wrong w my home WiFi. Nothing is update if I made change the home temp, useless. Call in customer service record message said it Total Connect app are down from Resideo company. Also thermostat states my uv light bulb are to last more 3 days, where do I get this replace?.

Do NOT buy this unit, worst if you travel

A HVAC repair person installed this unit after another Honeywell unit died (after 15+ years!). The unit is very complicated and the instructions and menus are not intuitive, at all. Worst for us, we are often gone for months at a time. This unit lacks battery-backup. The default after power failure is 70 degrees. So in the winter instead of the 55-60 that we leave things, we are left burning much more gas. I wish that I had read the reviews before I gave the OK to install. In my opinion Honeywell should discontinue this unit.

poor quality - didn't last

Poor quality - didn't last. Won't increase humidity in house more than 41% even when set at 60%. Have to have pans of boiling water on stove to increase humidity. Unit failed IN WINTER - no heat!!! When power goes out, entire unit fails. Unreliable. NEVER AGAIN!
